Rocket Ridge

A Three Makers storybook

Watercolor view of Rocket Ridge, colorful launch pads high above the clouds.

Welcome Back to Maker World

The Three Makers' cozy workshop with jars of paintbrushes and paper airplanes.

The workshop was peaceful.

Paintbrushes rested in colorful jars. Tiny paper airplanes drifted from the ceiling.

Bella was organizing the art table. Sebastian was building something with gears that clicked and spun. Aiden carefully cleaned the Maker Brush after their last adventure.

Just then... Whoosh! A bright silver envelope zipped through an open window and landed on the workbench.

Bella grinned. "Another mission!"

Aiden carefully opened the envelope. Inside was a tiny silver star and a folded note.

Dear Three Makers, the rockets at Rocket Ridge are ready to launch, but none of them have enough imagination to reach the stars. We need a creative Maker to help us. Will you accept this mission?

The three friends looked at each other. "You know the answer," Sebastian said with a smile.

02

Off to Rocket Ridge

Bold launch pads across rugged hills above the clouds at Rocket Ridge.

The journey led them higher than they had ever traveled before.

The trees became smaller. The clouds floated below their feet.

Soon they reached Rocket Ridge, where towering launch pads and steel gantries stretched across the hills.

Everything was ready. Almost.

Every rocket stood perfectly still. Not one of them would lift off.

03

Commander Leo

Commander Leo, a brave boy astronaut in a battle-worn helmet, standing beside a towering rocket.

Waiting beside the tallest rocket was Commander Leo, a fearless boy commander with arms crossed and boots planted firm.

He tapped his helmet and frowned. "We've tested the engines. We've checked the fuel lines. We've inspected every bolt and circuit."

Aiden stepped forward. "So what's missing?"

Commander Leo grinned. "The one thing no engineer can build. Guts and imagination."

04

The Sleeping Rocket

A small unpainted plaster rocket standing quietly alone in the corner of a launch pad.

One rocket sat alone at the edge of the pad, plain white plaster and no markings at all.

It wasn't broken. It wasn't damaged. It was simply waiting for a pilot.

"I don't think I'm tough enough," the little rocket said. "I've never had a paint job. I've never had a call sign. I don't think I'll ever launch."

Sebastian put a hand on its hull. "Every mission starts before the countdown."

Aiden nodded. "Sometimes it starts with a paintbrush and a plan."

Bella smiled. "And a Maker who won't quit."

05

The Maker Brush

The glowing Maker Brush hovering in the air, sparks of light around it.

The Maker Brush began to glow.

Sparks of starlight crackled through the air.

The little rocket hummed as everyone gathered around.

Commander Leo stepped back. "This part," he said, "is for our newest Maker."

06

Your Turn

A boldly painted plaster rocket with stripes and flames.

Now it's your mission, pilot. What will your rocket look like?

Will it blast through asteroid fields? Will it scout unknown planets? Will it leave a trail of fire across the sky?

Racing stripes? Lightning bolts? Flames? A call sign painted on the side?

Every rocket tells the story of the Maker who built it.

What story will yours tell?

07

Countdown

A launch pad at night with blinking lights, a bold rocket, and stars overhead.

The Three Makers watched as the final brushstrokes were imagined.

The little rocket seemed taller. Tougher. Braver.

Commander Leo grinned. "I think someone is ready for launch."

The countdown echoed across Rocket Ridge.

10... Birds took flight. 9... Clouds split apart. 8... The engines began to roar. 7... Warning lights flashed across the launch pad.

6... The rocket rumbled. 5... Everyone held their breath. 4... The ground shook hard. 3... The stars blazed overhead. 2... Full thrust. 1...

08

Blast Off!

A bold rocket blasts off into a starry sky with a blazing trail of fire.

With a blast of fire and a thundering roar, the little rocket tore high into the sky.

It climbed above the clouds. Past the moon. Toward a universe full of missions waiting to be flown.

"I knew you had it in you!" Aiden cheered.

"You just needed to believe," Sebastian said.

Bella watched the fiery trail disappear into the stars. "I wonder where our next mission will take us."

Mission Complete
The Three Makers, Bella, Sebastian, and Aiden, together after the mission.

Commander Leo handed each of the Three Makers a mission patch with a silver star.

"You didn't just help a rocket fly," he said. "You proved that courage begins with imagination."

The stars above Rocket Ridge burned a little brighter that night.

Far away, another silver envelope rocketed through the sky, already searching for the next brave Maker ready for a mission.

⭐ Mission Complete!

Every inventor starts with an idea. Every explorer starts with a dream. And every amazing adventure begins with one brave Maker.
